We depart Toronto this morning, and head to the famous nickel mining city of Sudbury, enjoying the blazing fall color on the way. We arrive in Sudbury in the afternoon. We will visit the famous “Big Nickel”, and experience a virtual underground mine tour. We will take photos with the largest coin in the world – the Big Nickel. You can buy some souvenirs in the gift shop afterwards. By evening, we will settle in at a grand hotel in the city.
We will board the scenic train this morning at the Sault Ste. Marie Station, and travel as far as 114 miles to the Agawa Canyon. We hear the stories of the Canadian Railway constructions and northland development as the train passing through rugged mountains, over towering trestles, alongside pristine lakes and rivers, and into the heart of the Canadian wilderness. While the train stops at the Agawa Canyon Park, you can stroll along the natural trails, or climb up the stairs to the lookout Deck atop the Canyon Park. Enjoy the spectacular sights and scenery of this memorable trip.
We travel to Algonquin Park today. Autumn is the best time for Algonquin Park tour. The fall colors alone make a trip worthwhile, especially if you catch the maples at their peak. The spectacle of hundreds of square miles of red and golden orange forest, blue lakes, and evergreen shores is one that no one should miss. There is much more to autumn in Algonquin, however, than the colors. During the day, you’ll have a good chance of seeing a big bull moose, its antlers now full-grown and polished, ready for the rut, or mating season, in late September and early October. We arrive in Toronto in the evening concluding our enchanting adventure.
