Arrival at Toronto: Welcome to Toronto- the biggest city of Canada. Once you have collected your luggage, escort will greet you at the arrival gate and then transfer to hotel.
We depart Toronto this morning, and head to the famous nickel mining city of Sudbury, Ontario. As we pass through the Canadian Shield area, which created by the second glacier period, you will be impressed by those un-obstructive views of northlands of Ontario. We will board the modern Island Queen to cruise the 30,000 Islands in Parry Sound (optional admission). Cruise ship will carry visitors through a maze of islands, and the narrow channels of the picturesque Georgian Bay. We then arrive at the Sudbury in the afternoon. The large scaled snowflake perched atop of a granite rock crater will lead our way to the Science North Museum (optional admission) by the beautiful Lake Ramsey. The Science North Museum is celebrating and commemorating the environmental and industrial developments of the Sudbury Basin. We then travel along the shore of Lake Huron, en-route to Sault Ste. Marie. We arrive at the quaint Sault Ste. Marie in the evening.
We will board the scenic train this morning at the Sault Ste. Marie Station, and travel as far as 114 miles to the Agawa Canyon. We hear the stories of the Canadian Railway constructions and northland development as the train passing through rugged mountains, over towering trestles, alongside pristine lakes and rivers, and into the heart of the Canadian wilderness. While the train stops at the Agawa Canyon Park, you can stroll along the natural trails, or climb up the stairs to the lookout Deck atop the Canyon Park. Enjoy the spectacular sights and scenery of this memorable trip. We cross the border at the twin city of Sault Ste. Marie of Ontario and Michigan, into the famed “Great lake” state.
We cross the straits of Mackinac by ferry (optional admission) and land on the beautiful Mackinac Island. This beautiful island is surrounded by sparkling, clear water accentuating the beauty of the island’s green pastures and eighteenth century features. We visit one of the most remarkable National Historical landmarks on the island - the Grand Hotel (optional admission). The Grand Hotel is the largest summer resort in the world, with the longest balcony overlooking the emerald water of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. You may also want to wander around this charming Victorian style island, or simply take a ride on a horse drawn carriage. Later we travel to Upper Michigan through the picturesque countryside.
